The site specific sculpture explores ideas of displacement and failure. Using industrial building materials, the sculpture alludes to an incomplete structure thus representing the possibility of an unrealized and unfulfilled aspiration. The materials used are concrete blocks and copper piping, both conventional and functional materials that become displaced and dysfunctional. The work represents the desire and hope for an improved society, while acknowledging the realization of failed utopian aspirations.
